Privacy Policy
United Healthcare Speciality RX is an independent medical equipment supplier in East Brunswick, New Jersey. This policy explains what information this website collects, how we protect it, and how we use it. We handle health information in accordance with applicable federal and state privacy laws, including HIPAA.
What information we collect
We collect only what we need to respond to you and to supply your equipment:
- Contact form: your name, phone number, email, ZIP code, the product you are interested in, and your message.
- Secure intake form: patient and contact details, insurance information (carrier, Member ID, group number), prescribing physician details, the equipment requested, clinical notes, and any documents you attach (such as a prescription or insurance card).
- Standard server logs: technical data such as IP address and browser type, kept for security.
How we protect it
- Everything you send through this site is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).
- The most sensitive fields — your Member ID and clinical notes — are also encrypted at rest in our database.
- Documents you upload are stored in access-controlled private storage; they are never publicly reachable.
- Every time a staff member views or changes an intake record, that access is logged in a tamper-evident audit trail.
How we use information
- To respond to your inquiry or quote request
- To verify your insurance benefits before you pay anything
- To coordinate your order with your prescribing physician and your insurance plan
- To arrange delivery, setup, and follow-up support
- To meet legal and record-keeping obligations that apply to medical equipment suppliers
Cookies and tracking
No advertising trackers or third-party analytics cookies. Standard server logs (IP, browser type) are kept for security.
Sharing
We never sell or rent your personal information. We share it only as needed to serve you: with your insurance plan to verify benefits, with your prescribing physician to complete documentation, with delivery partners to get equipment to you, with service providers who host our systems under confidentiality obligations, and where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep intake records and supporting documents for as long as we need them to supply and service your equipment, plus the period healthcare record-keeping rules require (generally several years for order and billing records). Contact messages that never become an order are removed in routine cleanups.
