BiPAPE0470Bilevel PAP Device (Without Backup Rate)
A bilevel positive airway pressure device that delivers two pressures, a higher one when you breathe in and a lower one when you breathe out, making therapy easier to tolerate. This model does not include a timed backup breath rate.
What to expect
- Two comfortable pressure levels make breathing in and out feel more natural than a single-pressure machine.
- Often a good fit if standard CPAP felt like too much pressure to exhale against.
- We help with mask fit and settings, and coverage and eligibility are verified before anything ships or bills.
For providers (HCPCS E0470)
- Billed under HCPCS E0470 for bilevel PAP without a backup respiratory rate.
- Requires an SWO, a face-to-face evaluation, and documentation supporting bilevel (such as a documented CPAP trial that was not tolerated or effective).
- Subject to the PAP compliance/adherence documentation requirements for continued therapy.
- Coverage varies by payer — DWO and supporting documentation required.
